IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament, in 1985 It is a centre of excellence in Distance Education. The commonwealth has conferred upon IGNOU, the Award of Excellence for distance education. IGNOU also has a network of regional centres and study centres spread all over India and abroad. JDT Islam IGNOU Study Centre, established in the year 1989, forms the major accredited centre in Malabar Area assisting students, far and wide from Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Waynad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. The centre possesses an excellent track record in serving and uplifting the cause of education and fulfilling the aims and objectives of IGNOU
