PALLIATIVE CARE TRAINING 2023 (11th TO 25TH SEPTEMBER 2023)
THE FOUNDATION COURSE IN PALLIATIVE NURSING WAS CONDUCTED ON MARCH 23,24,25 AT JDT ISLAM COLLEGE OF NURSING. THREE DAYS OF THE TRAINING PROGRAMME WERE GIVEN TO 3RD-YEAR BSC NURSING STUDENTS. THE SESSIONS WERE HANDLED BY EXPERTS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PALLIATIVE MEDICINE. THE FACULTIES WERE SR.BNICY THOMAS (NURSING OFFICER), MRS JAISHI P B (PALLIATIVE PHYSIOTHERAPIST), MR BIJU P C (ACCOUNTANT), AND MRS LOVELY P(NURSING OFFICER)& MR RANDOLF VINCENT(NURSING OFFICER).

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY WAS CELEBRATED ON 10TH MARCH 2022. THE EVENT WAS INAUGURATED BY MRS. THANOORA SWATHI MENON, BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR, AND CEO OF ZOUL AND ZERA. SHE BEAUTIFULLY NARRATED HER LIFE STORY. HER TALK WAS A GREAT INSPIRATION FOR US. JDT ISLAM COLLEGE OF NURSING HONORED DR. JOLLY DANIEL AND DR. GEORLY GEORGE FOR ACHIEVING PH.D. A DEBATE WAS ORGANIZED BY THIRD-YEAR BSC NURSING STUDENTS (14TH BATCH) REGARDING THE TOPIC “IS GENDER EQUALITY POSSIBLE IN OUR SOCIETY”. A QUIZ WAS ALSO CONDUCTED FOR STUDENTS BASED ON THE WOMEN’S DAY THEME. THE OVERALL PROGRAM WAS COORDINATED BY PROF.SHAKIRA M, DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING
